After entering a Roam from the Overworld, you’ll arrive at the Floor Map—a visual overview of everyone in the office. A profile picture indicates someone is present in your HQ. When you hover over a room, empty spaces represent available seats. Click on any empty seat to enter the room. Floor Map There are five room types in Roam on the Floor Map—Private Office, Meeting Room, Team Room, Theater, and Game Room.

To edit the Floor Map, go to Settings > Edit Map. This will place you in Edit Mode, allowing you to modify your Roam map where you can: Add, remove, move, resize, or rename rooms. Add, remove, or rename floors. Assign or unassign seats in a private office. Rearrange floors by drag and drop. When you’re finished, click Done Editing Map to exit Edit Mode. Every member in your Roam is expected to have a seat in their own Private Office. In most places where admins can add members, they must choose a seat assignment. However, when people are added in bulk via CSV or through automations such as SCIM or the Rippling integration, manual seat assignment is not practical, so Roam will automatically assign a seat in a Private Office. The Virtual Shelf is a dedicated space in your private office for showcasing and sharing items you care about most—like trophies, certificates, or personal memorabilia. Located to the right of the main Floor Map, the Elevator provides a real-time view of the people in your HQ. Click on a person to open their interaction window, or click on a floor to immediately go there. If you have an assigned seat on that floor, you will go there, and otherwise will be placed into Reception on that floor, where you can further interact with the map. Reception is the place on the Floor Map where someone goes when they do not have an assigned seat or a meeting on that floor. It is meant as a temporary stop before going into an office or meeting, or leaving a Roam. People in Reception may speak to each other in an audio-only conversation.
