Format chat messages

Use rich text formatting to make messages easier to scan in channels and DMs.

1. Open a channel or DM and start writing a message.
2. Use the formatting toolbar to add bold, italic, strikethrough, inline code, lists, a block quote, a code block, a link, or a table.
3. Send the message.

You can also use keyboard shortcuts or type supported Markdown formatting as you write.

For longer text, code, logs, or structured notes, use a text snippet.
