Send text snippets in chat

Text snippets make it easier to send longer text, code, logs, or structured notes in Roam chat.

Create a Text Snippet

1. Open a chat, click + in the message composer, and click Text Snippet.
2. Enter or paste your text.
3. Choose a language, or let Roam detect it automatically when you paste.
4. Click Done.

You can also press Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + Enter from the chat composer to open the text snippet editor.

View and Edit Text Snippets

Click a text snippet in chat to open it in a larger view.

To edit a text snippet you sent, hover over the message, click the three dots, and click Edit Message.
