DMs vs group chats

AInbox offers two main types of chats—direct messages (DMs) and group chats.

Direct Messages (DMs)

DMs are private conversations between you and one or more people. Since they’re not part of a formal group, no one else can join or view the conversation.

Click on someone’s profile photo on the map to open a DM conversation with them. In addition to chatting, you can take contextual actions such as Wave, Invite to Me, Remove from Room, End Visit, and more.

Group Chats

Group chats are designed for multi-person collaboration. Create a group chat for each team or project in your organization. Groups can be public (visible to all members) or private (join by invite only).
