Spoken language detection

Roam supports 30+ languages for closed captions, meeting transcriptions, Magic Minutes, and Magicasts, including Bulgarian, Catalan, Chinese, Chinese (Hong Kong), Chinese (Mainland), Chinese (Taiwan), Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Finnish, Flemish, French, German, German (Switzerland), Greek, Hindi, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latvian, Lithuanian, Malay, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Portuguese (Brazil), Portuguese (Portugal), Romanian, Russian, Slovak, Spanish, Swedish, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, and Vietnamese.

If Roam cannot automatically detect your language or detects the wrong one (e.g., if your language sounds similar to another), you can manually set your spoken language.

Manually Set Your Spoken Language

1. Go to Settings > [Your Name].
2. Change the Spoken Language setting from Detect Automatically to your language.

Notes

• The spoken language setting only applies to your speech, not the other participants in a meeting. Each person must set their own spoken language if needed.
• If you manually set a spoken language, Roam will only use that language to transcribe, caption, and generate Magic Minutes for your speech, even if you speak in multiple languages.
• If you change your spoken language setting during a meeting, it will take effect at the start of your next meeting. To apply the change immediately, leave and rejoin your current meeting.
