Share a presentation or slide deck

Presenting in Roam is easy—just choose what to share and how you want it to sound. Here’s how to make sure your audience sees (and hears) exactly what you intend.

Share Your Presentation

1. Click the Share button in the bottom toolbar.
2. Choose what you want to share:
   • Entire Screen if you need to switch between multiple apps or windows during your presentation.
   • Specific App Window (e.g., PowerPoint, Keynote, or Google Slides) so participants only see your presentation, not your other windows.
3. If you’re using Presenter Mode with notes or slide previews:
   • If you have one screen, share only the specific presentation window so your notes remain private and your audience sees only the current slide.
   • If you have multiple screens, start your presentation in full screen, and share the entire screen. Keep your notes and presenter view on a secondary screen not being shared.
4. Before sharing, choose the correct audio settings:
   • Screen without Sound for standard presentations with no audio.
   • Screen with Sound for presentations that include embedded video or audio.
   • Sound Only for background audio (e.g., intro music) before showing slides.
5. Click Share or press the Enter key.

Note: If you play intro music, you’ll need to stop sharing and start a new screen share once your presentation begins.
