Screen Share

Viewing & Controls

  • The sharer will see a control bar to stop sharing at any time.
  • Viewers can zoom in or out and pan on the shared content.
  • Multiple people can share their screen at the same time. One screen share at a time is displayed as the primary share, but it can be easily switched. Additionally, secondary screen shares can be opened in their own window so you can actively view multiple screen shares simultaneously.

Note: Learn how to resolve screen sharing issues while using virtual display software on your computer.

Annotate a Screen Share

Once screen sharing is active, click the pencil icon to annotate the shared screen. Draw, type, highlight, use the laser pointer, and create shapes in various colors directly on the screen. Viewers can instantly screenshot the results from View Options > Take Screenshot, which will be saved in the media folder, making it easy to share the markup with your team.

Optimizing Video Playback in a Screen Share

For smoother playback and higher frame rates when sharing a video from a website such as YouTube, enable Optimize for Video. From the Share window click the three dots at the bottom and enable Optimize for Video.

Note: Enable Optimize for Video only when sharing video playback, as this setting may reduce the resolution of static text and images. For the best experience when sharing video files stored locally on your computer, we recommend uploading them to a Media Board.
