If you’re using virtual display software such as Synaptics DisplayLink or SiliconMotion InstantView, you may encounter issues when sharing your screen in Roam.
By default, Roam excludes accessory windows—such as the screen share control bar—from screen shares. This bar indicates that you are sharing your screen, provides access to various Roam features, and allows you to stop screen sharing.
Because virtual display software can function similarly to screen sharing, it may conflict with Roam and your computer, unintentionally hiding these accessory windows from you.
This will make all Roam windows, including accessory windows, visible to you while sharing your screen. However, they will also be visible to everyone viewing your screen share. We recommend enabling this setting only if you experience the issue described above.
