Manage multiple companies in Roam
If you run multiple businesses, there are two main ways to organize them in Roam. The right choice depends on your setup and how much interaction you want between the companies.
Option 1: One Roam with Multiple Floors For Each Company
Keep all your businesses under a single Roam account, with each business assigned to its own floor.
Benefits
- Single Billing: One subscription covers all businesses.
- Seamless Interaction: Members can easily move between floors and collaborate.
- Simplified Management: Admins manage everything from one account.
Considerations
All members share the same virtual office. This means anyone in your Roam can interact and communicate across all floors. There’s no way to completely separate access between teams within a single Roam.

Option 2: Separate Roams for Each Business
Create a unique Roam account for each business, each with its own members, floors, and billing.
Benefits
- Separate Billing: Each Roam has its own subscription and payment method.
- Exclusive Membership: Members are isolated to their specific Roam environment.
- Independent Roams: Ideal if you want to maintain strict boundaries between businesses.
Considerations
- You can only be present in one Roam at a time, similar to being in one building before visiting another.
- You can be a member of multiple Roams and communicate across them via your AInbox, so it’s easy to message contacts without switching back and forth constantly.

Choosing the Right Setup
If your businesses collaborate frequently or share overlapping staff, using one Roam with separate floors is usually the simplest option.
If they operate independently and require full separation of members, billing, and access, separate Roams are the better choice.
