On macOS, Roam is downloaded as a disk image file (DMG). If you run the application directly from the disk image, Roam won’t be able to update. To resolve this, move the app to the Applications folder.
If you see the error “We’ve detected that you’re not running Roam from the Applications folder of your machine.” and can’t resolve it, you may have multiple copies of Roam on your computer.
