Scheduled meeting access levels

When scheduling a meeting in Roam, Google Calendar, or Microsoft Outlook Calendar, you can choose from several access levels to control who can join your meeting via link or phone dial-in.


Open

Anyone can join via link or phone dial-in. Guests who use the meeting link or dial-in during the scheduled time are taken directly into the meeting without needing admission by a member.

Trusted (Default)

Members can join freely. Guests who use the meeting link must be admitted by a member. Anyone dialing in by phone joins the room directly without needing admission by a member.

Restricted

Members can join freely. All guests, whether joining via link or dialing in by phone, must be admitted by a member.

Members Only

Only members can join. Guests are not permitted. Anyone dialing in by phone must be admitted by a member.


Set meeting access in Google Calendar

  1. Create or modify a calendar event.
  2. Click “Add video conferencing” and select “Roam Meeting” from the dropdown.
  3. Click the Roam icon on the far right edge of the screen.
  4. Set the Access level.

  1. Create or modify a calendar event.
  2. Click Roam > Add a Roam Meeting from the toolbar.
    • If you don't see the Roam menu, click ⋯ and then Roam.
  3. Set the Link Access level in the Configure… sidepanel.
