Collaborate using a whiteboard

The Whiteboard is a collaborative canvas for sketching ideas, brainstorming, or outlining processes. You and your colleagues can draw shapes, add text, and annotate simultaneously. Use it for anything from quick diagrams to more detailed wireframes or mockups.

Getting Started

1. Click Share from the bottom toolbar.
2. Either select New Whiteboard, or scroll down to the Recent Items section and select an existing Whiteboard.
3. Use drawing tools to scribble, draw shapes, or add text.

Everyone in the room sees your changes immediately, so you can discuss or review as a group. When you leave the meeting, the whiteboard remains accessible if you return to the same room.

In an office, click the pop-out arrow in the top-right corner of the whiteboard to open it in its own window. This makes it easy to move the whiteboard to another monitor or keep it visible while working elsewhere in Roam.
