Chat compliance settings

Roam provides compliance tools to help organizations meet record-keeping, data retention, or regulatory policies. Roam admins can manage these controls in Settings > Roam Administration > Compliance.

Main Compliance Options

1. Feature Control: Disable certain chat features due to regulatory requirements or other considerations:
   • Allow DMs
   • Allow Confidential Chats
   • Allow Meeting Chat
   • Allow Group Chat Creation
   • Allow External Chat
   • Allow Voice Messages
   • Allow Magicast Recording
   • Allow Media Boards and Whiteboards
   • Allow On-It Assistant
2. Message Retention: Set automatic deletion of older messages after a chosen timeframe.
3. Message Archival: Integration with Global Relay or a daily file via our API containing all DMs and group chats from your account. Please contact us for more details.
4. Share Link Passwords: Require passwords for share links, including Magicasts and Magic Minutes. New links receive an auto-generated passphrase that can be changed.
