Start & stop Magic Minutes
Manually Start Magic Minutes
- Enter any meeting (such as in a private office, meeting room, or theater).
- In the bottom toolbar, click Magic Minutes > Record Magic Minutes button.
All meeting participants will receive a notification that Magic Minutes is active.

Important: Starting Magic Minutes does NOT include video.
Automatically Start Magic Minutes
- As a Roam admin, go to Settings > Roam Administration > Magic Minutes.
- Enable “Automatically Record Magic Minutes.”
- Configure which room types, specific rooms and floors, and user groups that should be included or excluded for automatic recording.

Stopping Magic Minutes
- When in a meeting, in the bottom toolbar click “Recording” Magic Minutes.
- Click either “Stop Magic Minutes” or “Stop and Shred” to discard the Magic Minutes recording.
