Roam, the all-in-one Cloud HQ that brings distributed companies together in one headquarters - from anywhere, today announced the appointment of Brent Saunders, Chair and CEO of Bausch + Lomb (NYSE: BLCO), as its Chair of the Board of Directors, effective immediately.
“Brent is a once-in-a-generation talent who has successfully built and led Fortune 500 companies for decades,” said Howard Lerman, Roam Founder & CEO. “Brent has seen distributed work at global scale, has served on the Cisco board, and has built priceless consumer brands from scratch. Roam will benefit tremendously from Brent’s experience, both in the private and public sectors, on our own journey to becoming one of the world’s great companies. And frankly, naming a Board Chair is a founder’s ‘cheat code’ that I think more entrepreneurs should use.”
“Roam elegantly and uniquely solves the huge challenges of distributed work. We need to get back to technology that supports the workflow, not the reverse. What Howard and his team have built with Roam doesn’t just connect distributed companies, it brings them together as if everyone were in the same HQ,” said Brent Saunders, Chair of Roam. “And it does so in a way that is organic, human, and improves company culture. Roam is very clearly the future of work.”
In addition to his role at Bausch + Lomb, Brent also serves as the Chair of the Board of The Beauty Health Company. Prior to that, he was a Director at Cisco, a role he held for six years, and Co-Founder and Chair of the Board of Vesper Healthcare Acquisition Corp. He also previously served as chairman, president and CEO of Allergan plc through its 2020 acquisition by AbbVie Inc.
Brent is the most recent addition to the Roam board which consists of Howard Lerman, Roam Founder & CEO; Tom Dixon, Roam Co-Founder & CTO; and Jules Maltz, General Partner at IVP.
Roam is currently in invite-only Beta and can be accessed via our waitlist.
